Liberation
Delaware holocaust survivors tell their stories.
From 1939-1945 Hitler and his Nazi regime terrorized all of Europe and perpetrated the most horrid of actions known to humankind-GENOCIDE. In 1945, Allied military forces liberated Europe and stumbled upon the remnants of what will be known forever in history as, the Holocaust. "...there had been rumors of concentration camps, but no one knew for sure...nobody had ever seen one..." Leroy Shaw, Smyrna, DE, 1995. No Denying, Liberation features testimony from Delaware Liberators, members of the United States Army, and Delaware survivors who describe what it felt like to be liberated. You may have heard many of these accounts before, now you will hear them from people who lived in your own backyard.
